Bassdrum

This bassdrum has a body consisting of eight surfaces. The air pressure created when one of the heads is played causes the metal surfaces to vibrate and thus actively change the overall sound of the bassdrum. In addition, the body can be vibrated directly with mallets or superballs, among other things. The drum's tonal possibilities are thus very diverse. The tensioning screws pull the tensioning rings to the drum for tuning. They are easy to move because the nuts are embedded in a rubber casing inside the drum. This means that there is less pressure on the thread, which makes it easier to turn the screw.
