"Metasonic Instruments"
The stringed instruments from LUNASON are characterised by their particularly rich overtone spectrum. The metal bodies of the instruments create an unmistakable tonal identity. The violin, viola, violoncello and double bass have the same tonal range as traditional instruments made of wood. This means that any musician who has learnt to play one of these stringed instruments can play the instrument. The vibration production therefore remains identical. The vibration transmitted to the metal body is given new overtones by the thin metal, resulting in a new sound experience.
The desmophone and the bass desmophone are so-called two-string instruments. They are particularly suitable for low, long tones. The long reverberation of these two instruments opens up new possibilities in the creation of music. These two instruments are currently particularly popular in film music.
